Well, based on my last post and unless you’ve been living under a rock, you can imagine how tiring this week has felt. Mix the less-than-pleasant outcome of the election with yet another long week at work and you have an 8:30 Friday bedtime and 12 magical hours of sleep.
They must sprinkle crack on top of the baklava. A perfect Friday night indeed.
On the plus side, this week was a good personal week for me to get my eating and workouts back on track, early morning alarm clocks and all. When Friday night came around, I didn’t even feel guilty to walk down the street to the mini Greek festival for delicious takeout dinner. If you live in Richmond, you know that the Greek festival is a big deal and if you know me at all, you also know that I love the Greek festival more than any other event in Richmond. Every year, they also have a “mini Greek festival” and this year, we are lucky enough to live within walking distance! There are significantly less people (I’m talking thousands less) and we were able to walk in and out for takeout.

We had big plans of waking up early today and taking the pups to watch the marathon a few streets over, but this grandma apparently needed her sleep. We had a slow morning with coffee, a trip to Stella’s with the littlest pup, and we have our last wedding of the year later tonight.
