I’m not usually particularly involved with politics, and by that, I mean I admittedly am not as educated about things as I should be. HOWEVER, I think it goes without saying that it was near impossible to sit back over the last two years and not feel inclined to research more and to get involved.
For the first time ever, I felt obligated to support my candidate with more than just a vote.
For the first time ever, I tuned into every presidential debate and not only paid attention, but did my research before & after.
For the first time ever, I believe that our nation is truly in danger & even though my vote may not have been my first choice, it’s important to choose an educated side.
For the first time ever, I almost teared up while filling in my vote.
For the first time ever, I hope that a woman is elected to be our President.
I’ve never felt more empowered as a citizen, a human, a woman, a daughter, and one day, a mother, to vote against letting this hateful and fear-driven man lead our country & I am proud to say that I’m with her. Plus, Tim Kaine lives like 5 minutes away from us, so obviously he gets my vote. 😉
Also, I promise not to have any more political posts. I am usually 115% against dramatic political posts on social media, but this election is too important to be silenced. If you haven’t already, go vote. Every vote counts.
