Did I mention how terrible I am at this blogging thing?
Anyways, better late than never, right? Let’s start this week off on a better foot.
I have always loved holidays and I don’t know where this ridiculous love came from, but it doesn’t matter which holiday it is, I feel like it should be celebrated somehow. Or maybe its because we got Friday off from work so I felt like staying inside for any amount of time was just not an option. Because, duh, summer.
Even though I wanted to be near the water, the thought of heading to the beach with every other person in America was out of the question and we don’t have access to a pool of our own, we just stayed in Richmond and did random things with Michael’s family and met up with some friends for fireworks.
It was an especially exciting weekend (depending on how you look at it) because I knew I would be starting on (my third!) whole 30 on Monday, so I made sure I could satisfy all of my food cravings before I got my act together and started to eat clean again. Yes, I know you shouldn’t necessarily binge before starting whole30, or ever for that matter, but I know my cravings and I know that if I didn’t satisfy at least some of them, then I would do nothing but think about them for 30 days and then ruin everything on day 31. So, do what ya gotta do. In my case, I ate a lot of hot dogs and shrimp scampi.
Last week was the first 5 day workweek in two weeks so it was hard to adjust to and felt like it would never end. Hoping this week goes a little easier. 🙂
